VoiceThread
Introduction
VoiceThread is a cloud-based application that allows users to create and share multimedia artifacts and to collaboratively annotate those artifacts using video, audio, and text commenting. This page provides information on the features and integration of VoiceThread in a Canvas course.

Use VoiceThread in your course
VoiceThread 1.3 allows you to add VoiceThread as an external tool to your Canvas course. Review the section titled “If your institution uses Deep Linking” in the following link to learn about how to add VoiceThread as an external tool to your Canvas course:

VoiceThread can be used in your course in 2 ways: non-graded and graded activities. You can use VoiceThread as a non-graded activity by having students engage in informal discussion or share reflections. You can add the VoiceThread Homepage, VoiceThread Course Group, or an individual VoiceThread presentation as a non-graded activity. Currently, while VoiceThread does not support group assignments/projects, you can follow the instructions in the resource below to set up the platform and an assignment that functions as a group assignment:

VoiceThread 1.3 also makes copying between Canvas courses easy. You can copy VoiceThreads, including VoiceThread assignments, from one Canvas course to another without any student content while instructor content is retained.
