Piazza

Introduction

Piazza is a free platform for instructors to efficiently manage Q&A classroom discussions. Using Piazza, students can post questions and collaborate to edit responses to these questions while instructors have the option to answer questions, endorse student answers, and edit or delete any posted content. Get to know Piazza and its Canvas integration

Using Piazza with Canvas is very convenient. Instructors and students are automatically enrolled with the appropriate roles, based on the course roster. You are also automatically signed in to Piazza when you navigate to it through Canvas.

Instructors can:

  • Answer students' questions once for all students to see
  • Conduct polls to get a sense of where students stand
  • Allow students to engage with classmates in online discussion

If you have multiple accounts on Piazza with different email addresses, you can merge them into one account. If you already have a Piazza account refer to the tutorial below to add your Penn State email address as either your primary or secondary email on your account:
