Images Overview
Most of us are visual learners, and good images can add an important element to course content. Images are also particularly helpful for students with learning disorders and cognitive disabilities.
Of course, not everyone may be able to see an image clearly, or at all. Making sure an image is accessible involves more than just adding a text description to it (although that's a good start). Once you determine an image is the right choice to convey an idea or information, you still need to consider color choice and contrast, image fonts, and whether or not the image needs a longer description beyond a few sentences.
