Types of Colorblindness

There are many different types of colorblindness. If you would like to learn more, please see the Colblindor website Links to an external site.. Deuteranope is the most common type of colorblindness. It is sometimes called red/green color deficit but it affects how a person sees all colors and affects 1 out of every 100 males.

Standard and Color-Blind Friendly Examples

One strategy when using color is to combine it with shapes so that if people don't see color the same way, they can still make sense of the content. Here we have two sets of color bars, but the second set adds a pattern.
