Rich Content Editor Basics

Using the styles found in this resource requires basic knowledge of hyper text markup language (HTML Links to an external site.) and the Rich Content Editor (RCE) in Canvas. Links to an external site.

For each recommended style, we provide code snippets that can be copied and pasted into any Canvas page in code view. To see the page code, select the HTML editor button. In Figure 1, this button is circled.

Once you've entered the code in the HTML editor, you can select the same button to switch back to the RCE to view what the style looks like.

Use the accessibility checker to review color contrast, table accessibility, image alt text, headings, and links.
