Manage and Organize Files
If you download a file and edit it, but don't want to have two versions in Google Drive, you can simply opt to upload a new version of the existing file. If you are working online, you can track the changes that were made to a file, revert files to older versions if you don't like the changes that were made, or recover accidentally deleted files. While these features are great for managing your own files, they are particularly useful if you are working on files with collaborators so you can track and manage changes.
