The Academic Success Kit: A Resource for Online Students

Before we get started, let's take a look at a service that World Campus provides to you if you're feeling nervous about some of the unique aspects of being an online student: The Academic Success Kit (ASK). ASK is a series of free, noncredit modules that introduce you to tips, tricks, and strategies you'll use throughout your education at Penn State World Campus as well as a look at some commonly used technologies you are likely to encounter.  

These modules can be accessed at any time, are ungraded, and can be moved through at your own pace.  Many of the modules can be completed in under an hour so if you have interest in any of the topics addressed ASK is an excellent resource for you to utilize.

What Will Be Covered in the modules?

There are a multitude of topics addressed in ASK.  These include:

• Properly utilizing your course syllabus
• Time management techniques
• Writing great discussion posts
• Group work in an online course
• Frequently encountered technologies and learning how to use them
