Using the Transfer Credit Tool

When looking at how to use the Transfer Credit Tool, we're going to focus on its most commonly used function, the Search by College/University tab. You'll start your search by filling in the search boxes with the applicable information and selecting the search button.  In Figure 4.8 we have input the information for Harrisburg Area Community College.

This brings you to a screen where you can search by Penn State course attribute (i.e., GWS), subject, or course number.  In Figure 4.9 we're searching for how English 051 will transfer in to Penn State.

Once the Search button is selected, the results for the course in question will be displayed. For the purpose of our example, our search yielded a result of a direct equivalency to Penn State's ENGL 4 (see Figure 4.10).
