Teaching and Learning with Technology

TLT Logo

TLT is a diverse and experienced team of learning innovators who discover, create, and advance technologies with the aim of transforming teaching and learning in positive and enduring ways.

We are part of the University Libraries. As an enterprise level unit, we serve the entire Commonwealth – every college and campus.

Relationships are our currency. We partner with other administrative units, consult with individual faculty, and collaborate with campus leaders and many others whose work centers on student success, either directly or indirectly. We also work directly with students to support their multimedia projects in assignments we co-develop with faculty.

Primary Strategic Goals

We align our work with the Presidential Vision and Goals to create a transformational Penn State experience. In particular, we focus on student success. We also align our work with the strategic goals of University Libraries.

New faculty may want to contact Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) to:

  • Consult about course design and how it might leverage new or emerging technologies
  • Inquire about specific technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, learning tools, VR) available at Penn State to support their instructional goals
  • Learn how to engage students in unique multimedia assignments, with the full support of our Media Commons resources and team
  • Explore ways to engage with faculty peers who share an interest in teaching and learning, through one-on-one connections or programmatic faculty engagement opportunities
  • Deepen connections to Penn State’s vast student success network
  • Engage in communities of like-minded colleagues around teaching and learning
