New Faculty Network

The New Faculty Network Links to an external site. is a mentoring program that supports the Penn State University mission by familiarizing new faculty with university expectations, practices, and resources; fostering a sense of unity within a geographically distributed university; and maximizing satisfaction, productivity, and retention. The program is designed to support and supplement the various departmental or college mentoring programs which currently exist.

Overall Objectives

To foster academic and professional growth
To share knowledge about institution standards and practices, as well as academic and career guidance
To offer feedback and ideas to enhance academic performance, disciplinary leadership, career development, and student success
To increase belonging and engage broadly with faculty from across the university
