Institutional Animal Care and Use
The ORP Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees the use of vertebrate animals and cephalopods in research, testing, or teaching for University Park and all Commonwealth Campuses. IACUC oversight includes but is not limited to the review and approval of animal use protocols, conduct of semi-annual facility inspections, and investigation of animal welfare concerns. You must have an approved Penn State IACUC protocol in place prior to ordering or shipping animals or beginning your animal research.
