The J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School is part of Penn State’s 24-campus, land-grant public research structure that educates students from around the world and supports individuals and communities through integrated programs of teaching, research, and service. As the land-grant institution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the University engages in collaborative activities with the private sector, educational, and governmental partners worldwide to generate, integrate, apply, and disseminate knowledge that is valuable to society.

Graduate programs are offered at five Penn State Campuses: University Park; Penn State Erie, The Behrend Campus; Penn State Great Valley; The College of Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center; Penn State Harrisburg; and the World Campus. No matter which campus you attend, you are a member of Penn State's Fox Graduate School.

 

 

Academic Colleges and Schools

While all graduate degree programs at Penn State are academically organized under the Fox Graduate School, the graduate faculty, graduate courses, and graduate degree programs are offered by the academic colleges that are organized around their subject matter. Some graduate programs may cross departments, colleges, and even campuses, and are called Intercollege Graduate Degree Programs. All Intercollege Graduate Degree programs are academically housed in the Fox Graduate School or in specific colleges or academic units.

Interdisciplinary Research Institutes

Penn State has ten interdisciplinary institutes that promote collaboration across departmental boundaries to focus research strengths on vital scientific questions and pressing societal needs. These institutes provide resources and opportunities that will challenge you to think broadly about your interests.
