Graduate Student Government - Make a Difference

Graduate students at Penn State have an official voice at the University through student government. At the University Park campus, graduate students are represented by the Graduate Professional Student Association Links to an external site. (GPSA). Graduate students on Commonwealth campuses are represented by the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments Links to an external site. (CCSG). GPSA and CCSG formally represent and advocate for student interests with the Penn State administration and Board of Trustees. These groups also organize events and activities for their student populations.

In addition to GPSA and CCSG, there are many graduate students associations in colleges and in graduate programs, particularly at the University Park campus. These associations also serve to connect students with faculty and administrators in colleges and programs to collaborate on a wide range of areas in graduate education. Graduate students at Penn State Harrisburg have a Graduate Professional Student Council Links to an external site. to advocate for graduate students and provide a supportive environment for interaction between graduate and professional students. At the College of Medicine the Graduate Student Association Links to an external site. helps facilitate communication between graduate students and program administration and coordinates events for graduate students.
