Faculty as a Resource

One potentially overlooked resource for all students is the Penn State graduate faculty. They were graduate students at one time themselves and have been around academics for a significant part of their lives. They can provide advice and support for your academic endeavors. Talk to instructors of your courses, faculty whose research interests you, and your graduate program chairs. Although it can be intimidating, reach out. Relationships that you build with faculty during your graduate career can last a lifetime!
