Work-Life Balance Overview

Overview:

While graduate school requires a dedicated focus on academics, you can and should pay attention to your life outside your degree program. Taking care of yourself, finding time to do something fun, and spending time with friends and family are all important activities that can support your academic success by giving you time to relax and rejuvenate.

We’ll start with a short discussion of how you can manage work-life integration and then move into ways to find community on campus and around town. Then, we will discuss available support resources for when you might need a little extra support. Finally, we will wrap up with ideas for finding recreational, social, and cultural opportunities.
