FAQs for International Student Orientation
What are the dates for summer virtual and in-person international student orientations for undergraduates?
- June: Virtual New Student Orientation for International Students will be held on June 10th and the in-person orientation will be on June 27th

- Note, to attend in-person orientation in June, you must register and attend the virtual June session
- July: The virtual New Student Orientation will be on July 5th
- There is no in-person orientation in July
- August: Virtual orientation will be held on August 9th and the in-person orientations on August 18 and 19th

Where do I go to find apartments to rent?

Links to an external site. there are many resources regarding on-campus and off-campus housing options. Every semester, Penn State hosts a Housing Fair to provide students with resources to explore whether to live on or off campus. The fair will be held on October 9th at the HUB and October 13th virtually.
- Note: First year undergraduate students are required to live on campus.
Where can I obtain my student ID on campus?
- You can retrieve your student ID at the HUB Roberson Center at University Park. You must bring a government issued identification card with you (for example: driver's license, passport US military ID etc.).
What are the transportation service options on campus?
- University Park offers three bus services (Red Loop, White Loop, and Blue Loop). These bus services are free and open to all university students. University Park also offers a two-route Campus Shuttle service, which provides free transportation across campus for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
How do you add/ drop class?
- You can add or drop classes on your Lionpath account under the enrollment tab. You have until the late drop date to make changes to your class schedule.
Where can I get a good phone plan? Which company should I choose?
- There are a variety of phone companies people can choose from, such as AT& T , Verizon, and T-Mobile. AT&T has a location in the HUB, but there are various stores around State College.
When and where do I pay tuition?
- Your tuition bill will be generated shortly after classes begin and can be paid online through Lionpath or at the Bursar Office.
