Introduction to Tuition Payment and Flywire

At this point in your orientation, you should have already learned a little about paying your tuition bill and about the Bursar’s office. If you need to review what services the Office of the Bursar provides, you can return to The Business of Being a Student module of your undergraduate orientation.

As an international student, the services that you use at the Bursar’s office may be different from those used by your American peers. For example:

  • Financial Aid and 529 Plans usually do not apply to international students*
  • Flywire is a payment method available only to international students for sending payments to Penn State (international wires, etc.)

Learning Objectives

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Find the correct location of U.S. bank account and routing numbers
  • Recognize University approved methods to make payments from abroad
  • Locate where to find help with questions related to your Student Account billing statement
  • Recognize resources regarding the U.S. banking system

Notes

This module highlights two different options for paying your tuition. Information on additional options is available on the PSU Bursar's page. Links to an external site.
