Creating (and Using) a Schedule
You should consider writing down or creating a schedule for your studies and other responsibilities. You may record them in a traditional or electronic calendar, or you can use one of many apps that help you create a digital schedule. Your schedule should include things such as
- Job Responsibilities
- Coursework
- Family Time
- Other Necessary Activities.
Keep in mind that you should block out time for your studies throughout the week. Don’t block out your whole weekend. Instead, find time each day to devote to your courses. Add these designated chunks of time to your calendar, in addition to due dates for major assignments.
Once you create this schedule, stick to it. Consult it regularly and update it as necessary. Share the schedule with your family and let them know what you plan to do each week.
While you may prefer using a paper calendar or agenda, there are several free online time management tools that may be beneficial to you, which we will take a look at later in the course.
