Course Recommendations

  • Summer: Choose 2 courses (6 credits overall) *
    • *LEAP Students: Be sure not to choose courses for the fall that you are taking this summer.
  • RPTM students are encouraged to select the LEAP section: Healthy Lives through Recreation, Play and Leisure.
  • Fall: NOTE: Schedule 12–16 credits of course work. The department will add PGM students to RPTM 100A (3 credits) (PGA Tournament Golf A) at the start of Fall 2025.

If a PGM student does LEAP, they still need to take BOTH RPTM 100S and PSU 14 in Fall 2025.

Note on ALEKS

Students planning on doing the Smeal Business Fundamentals Certificate must earn at least a 46 on the ALEKS exam to be eligible to take ACCTG 211, a prerequisite to coursework required for the certificate. If a student is eligible for MATH 21, they can take that as the prerequisite for ACCTG 211.
