Registering for Your Courses

Your Enrollment Window

Now that your shopping cart is filled with the courses that you would like to take next semester, it's time to check out. This process will complete your enrollment in your selected courses, so it's very important to make sure that you finish the process. Remember, courses in your shopping cart do not “belong” to you until you complete these steps.  It is important to remember, however, that there is a specific window of time where you can enroll in your courses.  This enrollment window gets larger as you earn more credits, allowing the students who only need a few specific classes to schedule what they need to complete their degree.  You can see the enrollment dates that are available to you by going to your Home Page in LionPATH.  Here you will see a window labelled "Enrollment Dates"  (Figure 2.5) that displays the dates when both your shopping cart and your enrollment period open and close.

Completing Your Enrollment

If you are within your enrollment window you'll see a button labeled Proceed to Step 2 of 3 beneath the listing of courses in your shopping cart. Select this button, and you'll be directed to a page where you can confirm your classes. If the classes and sections are those you would like for the upcoming semester, select the Finish Enrolling button below the list. You will now be directed to a page where you can review the results of your action. If the Status column is populated with green check marks, then your enrollment is complete! If there is a red X in any of the columns, there was an error in scheduling. If there was an error, you'll receive a prompt about what caused it, and you'll be able to address the cause by following the provided instructions. Congratulations on scheduling your first courses!
