Overview: Top Hat

Welcome to the Top Hat Learning Path

Top Hat is a cloud-based teaching tool that leverages students' devices to increase class engagement and real-time feedback. Instructors can use Top Hat to engage students in and out of the classroom with interactive slides, graded questions, customized content, videos, discussions, and polls.

This Top Hat Learning Path supports faculty, instructional designers, and other instructional support staff who would like to use Top Hat in their courses.  This learning path will cover topics from creating a Top Hat account to creating a course, taking attendance, adding and engaging students with content in Top Hat, and integrating your Top Hat course with Canvas.  You may choose to follow the learning path in the order of the modules or choose individual topics to fit your specific needs.

At the end of each page, you will also find many resources that you can share with your students to help them navigate and use Top Hat.
