Manage Course Settings

When you first create your course, Top Hat’s default course settings are enabled.  You can customize your course settings to reflect your personal preferences and teaching style. Explore the following link to learn how to manage your course settings: 

 

Add Instructional Support Staff

Once your course is created in Top Hat, you can add co-instructors and TAs to your course. 

A co-instructor will have full access to your course, including the following features: 

  • All course content
  • Gradebook
  • Course settings

 A TA will have limited management access to a Top Hat course, including the ability to: 

  • View and edit course content 
  • Present slides  
  • Assign course work 
  • Conduct test monitoring 

NOTE:

  • TAs who are appointed to a Top Hat course must access the course via a browser to perform course management actions. 
  • TA accounts are student accounts.
